A nice Instagram feed is so important because it’s a great way to get new Instagram subscribers.
A nice Instagram feed and lots of interaction, you can quickly attract new users to you. The better your content is matched to your target group, the more users will follow you. So first, think about who you want to address on Instagram and WHAT that audience wants to see. You can also embed Instagram feed on website to increase user engagement, or display social proof to website vistiors.
Awesome Instagram feed Ideas
TIP # 1: FOLLOW A CLEAR MOOD ON YOUR ACCOUNT
Instagram is about communicating the imagery of your blog or business. I know many who do not just start Instagram to get many followers. But also to consolidate your own imagery and brand. Therefore, think carefully about which mood could suit your blog or company. The basic color of my DIY blog Madmoisell, for example, is pink and the DIY tutorials are aimed at a young target group. So I also choose this color for my Instagram account and keep my feed in a bright pastel mood. Other moods would be eg. Minimal, Dark & Moody, Colorful …
TIP # 2: LINK YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT INTO TOPICS
For example I blog about pink, sweet DIY projects, logical. On Instagram, I do not just want to show my DIY projects, because that would be boring for the user in the long term.
TIP # 3: EDIT YOUR PHOTOS WITH THE SAME FILTER
Filters can be found either in the Instagram app during photo editing or in apps like Vsco or A Color Story . I recommend you not to use the filters from the Instagram app, but to use other apps (ideal for beginners: Vsco). For each image, choose the same filter to make your photos look great.
TIP # 4: CONSIDER YOUR FEED AS A WHOLE, NOT JUST THE INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS
Oh yes, a very important point! I’ve already described to you above how you usually win new Instagram followers. Users will not only look at one of your photos, but at your entire feed. The art is to add variety to the feed (see my 4 major themes) and still create a coherent feed. With a carelessly mixed feed you win a) no new followers and strengthen b) your imagery not.
So that your feed looks beautifully harmonious.
TIP # 5: QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
This point was completely wrong, especially at the beginning. I had read on some business blog that you should post as often as possible, preferably twice a day.
I took the tip very seriously (although it is complete nonsense!) And posted as many times as I could! The result is a loveless feed that has neither supported my visual language, nor has created enthusiasm among the users. My advice to you: Before you post something “out of necessity”, then let it stay and do not share a new photo in one day. Because what counts is high-quality photos and a great feed. Whether you post twice or just once a day is irrelevant.
